01 Who we are
Dr. Abdulkarim bin Ahmed Al-Shehri Law Group (“the Firm”, “we” or “us”) is responsible for processing the personal data collected through alaw.sa.
We protect your data in accordance with Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law and its implementing regulations, as well as the duty of professional confidentiality that governs the legal profession.
02 Data we collect
We collect only the data you provide to us yourself, or that is needed to run the website:
- Contact and consultation forms: your name, email address, mobile number, organization and the text of your message.
- Newsletter: your email address when you subscribe.
- Direct contact: whatever you share with us by phone, email or WhatsApp.
- Technical data: information a server logs automatically whenever a website is visited, such as IP address, browser type and time of visit, used for operational and security purposes only.
Please do not send documents or confidential details about your case through the website forms; we will request them through a secure channel after our initial contact.
03 How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiries and schedule consultations.
- To check for conflicts of interest before accepting any engagement.
- To send our newsletter to subscribers, who may unsubscribe at any time.
- To operate, protect and improve the website.
- To meet the legal obligations that apply to the Firm.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
04 Legal basis for processing
We process your data on the basis of your consent when you submit a form or subscribe to the newsletter; to take steps at your request before entering into a services agreement; to comply with a legal obligation; or for a legitimate interest that does not conflict with your rights.
05 Sharing data with third parties
The website relies on a small number of external services to operate:
- Web3Forms: to receive messages from the website forms and deliver them to the Firm’s inbox.
- Google Maps: to show our branch locations on the contact page.
- Google Fonts: to load the typefaces used in the website’s design.
- WhatsApp: when you choose to contact us through it; the conversation is subject to WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
These services may collect technical data under their own policies, possibly outside Saudi Arabia. We may also disclose data if a competent authority requests it under the law.
06 Cookies
The website does not set its own cookies for tracking or advertising. The external services listed above, such as Google Maps, may set their own cookies when their content loads; you can manage or delete them in your browser settings.
07 Data retention
We keep your data for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or for the period required by applicable law, and then destroy it securely. Newsletter data is deleted when you unsubscribe.
08 Data security
We apply appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or alteration, and access is limited to Firm staff who need it for their work. However, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
09 Your rights
The Personal Data Protection Law gives you the following rights:
- The right to be informed of how and why your data is collected and processed.
